Town of Barrackville Volunteer Fire Department

The fire department that is empowered to provide fire protection and first response services for the Town of Barrackville is the Barrackville VFD. The Barrackville VFD also employs the services of other county VFDs, to oversee the fire protection district that encompasses the Town of Barrackville.

Marion County Rescue Squad

Marion County Rescue Squad is a branch of emergency services dedicated to providing out-of-hospital acute medical care and/or transport to definitive care, to patients with illnesses and injuries which the patient, or the medical practitioner, believes constitutes a medical emergency. The goal of the Marion County Rescue Squad as it relates to Emergency Medical Services is to either provide treatment to those in need of urgent medical care, with the goal of satisfactorily treating the malady, or arranging for timely removal of the patient to the next point of definitive care.
