The Pineville Police Department is empowered to enforce the law, protect property and reduce civil disorder in the Town of Pineville. The Pineville Police Department is engaged in an array of activities, depending on the situation, but its predominant concern is the preservation of order.

Town of Pineville Fire Department

The fire department that is empowered to provide fire protection and first response services for the Town of Pineville is the Pineville VFD. The Pineville VFD also employs the services of other county VFDs to oversee the fire protection district that encompasses the Town of Pineville.

The Pineville fire department is located in the county seat of Wyoming County and was established in 1939. The Pineville Fire Department, a.k.a. Station 400, has protected the citizens of Pineville and surrounding communities for almost 70 years.

With over 30 active volunteer members, PVFD prides itself with the knowledge of the most current fire fighting apparatuses, the ability to secure the scene and the ability to comfort and protect distraught families who have had the misfortune of losing their home to a fire.
