Did You Know?

The county seat of Pocahontas County was moved to Marlinton in 1891 with the construction of the Court House on land donated by Colonel John McGraw.

Pocahontas County Schools
    
There are five schools in Pocahontas County which are served by the Board of Education located at 926 Fifth Avenue in Marlinton, WV

Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau 
     Normally housed in the Marlinton Depot Building in the heart of Marlinton.  Fire destroyed the building in 2009, but plans are underway to rebuild that site.  Visit our link to locate attractions in the Marlinton area.
